As many of you are aware, practically all UK airports now charge a drop-off fee when entering designated drop-off areas at airports such as London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Luton, and Stansted. The Terminal Drop-Off Charge is implemented by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) — there are no barriers, and you will be charged once you enter the drop-off zones. There will be a £5 fee per drop-off to the terminal drop-off zones at Heathrow and Gatwick Airport. The fees are not payable at an airport ticket machine or at the terminal drop-off zones.

Every passenger travelling to these airports will incur additional drop-off charges. Find instant quotes for journeys with CabTime to any UK airport.
How does it work?
People entering the drop-off zone will be charged £5.
Motorists must pay the penalty online or via automated phone service, and failing to do so within a specific window may result in a parking fine being mailed to them. To identify the cars in the drop-off zone, Heathrow will use Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras.
